The Winner of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Goes to Rutledge Wood!

In order to support the non-profit group called "Racing for Kids," each year Toyota gathers professional drivers and celebrities to have a little racing fun. For each participant, the automaker generously donates $5,000 to the organization, which raises money for Long Beach children's hospitals. A total of $90,000 was raised this year, making the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race quite a success! Let's take a closer look at the results of the races.

The winner of the celebrity race was Top Gear USA and Fox Sports/SPEED racing commentator Rutledge Wood. His Scion FR-S race car gracefully took the turns with the right amount of speed to capture the checkered flag. Toyota also gave Wood an additional $5,000 to donate to the charity of his choice.

It's great to see so much enthusiasm and support for this event. Les Unger, national motorsports manager with Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. said, "The pace of this race was extremely fast and competitive. There was some exciting action in the field that had the fans out of their seats."1

In the Pro category, the winner was once again comedian Adam Carolla.  If you are interested in catching the action of this event for yourself, be sure to tune into the SPEED channel on Saturday May th for the race broadcast. It certainly sounds like an event that is worth watching!

Here at Kerry Toyota we are proud of the automaker's efforts to support such a great cause by successfully organizing another great event.
