Preparing for the Release of the 2014 Toyota Corolla

As some of you may remember, a few months back we uncovered the details regarding the Toyota Furia concept which was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. Once we got one look at this model, we were already looking forward to the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla. Now that some of the details have trickled out, we are excited to share them with all of you in the greater Florence, KY area.

If you enjoyed the aggressive style and sporty design of the Furia concept, then you'll be happy to know that Toyota plans to adopt a few of these features for the new Corolla model. It will also draw some inspiration from the design of the popular Toyota Camry.

In terms of power and performance, we will most likely see the redesigned Corolla sporting a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with Valvematic continuously variable valve timing. It will also have the option of a four-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Our guess is that improvements will be made to both fuel efficiency and performance offered by the powertrain as well. If it's anything like the current Corolla which generates 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque, then we are certainly in for a treat.

We can also look forward to the 2014 model offering 4 different trim levels: base, LE, S and Eco. On the interior, enhancements will be made as well with the addition of Softex leather, a navigation system, and a push-button start. Although Toyota has yet to confirm any specific details regarding the model, we have a feeling more will be released soon as the launch gets closer.
