Who Lives In a Highlander Made to Look Like the Sea?

It doesn't happen very often that you get passed by a school of fish on the road, actually now that we think of it this has probably never happened at all.  Well, now our brand has combined their creative powers with Nickelodeon and Animal Planet in turning one of the models we have here at Kerry Toyota into a moving aquarium.

At the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show earlier this month we first saw the 2014 SpongeBob Highlander, which was complete with a fully functioning saltwater aquatic ecosystem.  You can only seat two in this unique model, as an 800 gallon fish tank occupies all the space from the front seats back.

However, where the vehicle lacks in human capacity it makes up for in fishy capacity, being able to lug around 32 different species and a total of 115 fish.  This unusual Highlander truly brings a whole new meaning to the name "School Bus."

All jokes aside, the imaginative minds of the Animal Planet show "Tanked" designed this aquatic environment, complete with everything the fish need to live.  Overall, the tank is designed to look like SpongeBob SquarePants home of Bikini Bottom from the popular cartoon, with the exterior of the Highlander matching this theme.

SpongeBob himself even graces the aquarium with his presence, joining the various species housed there, which include everything from clownfish to Fiji foxface.

The 2014 SpongeBob Highlander will appear again at the LA Auto Show and on a March 2014 episode of "Tanked," so make sure you catch it again.

While our Florence, Kentucky showroom may not have a model in our inventory of new Toyota cars that qualifies as a mobile aquarium, we do have many vehicles that are perfect for transporting human beings.  Stop by our dealership today and the professionals in our finance department can assist you in driving home in a model like the new 2014 Corolla.
