Proudly Serving Florence, KY
Having an extensive lineup of 10 trims, the 2018 Toyota RAV4 is a compact crossover SUV with seating for five. The 2018 Toyota Highlander is a mid-size crossover SUV with up to eight seats. Both vehicles are available with hybrid systems that deliver great gas mileage. The signature Entune multimedia platform and JBL GreenEdge sound system are high-tech highlights in the RAV4 and Highlander.
Performance
A 2.5 L engine that's rated at 176 horsepower propels the 2018 Toyota RAV4. Running on regular gasoline, this I-4 engine produces up to 192 hp in some trims. A 2.7 L engine with four cylinders has entry-level status under the hood of the 2018 Highlander. You could extract up to 185 hp from this compact powertrain. If you make an upgrade to a 3.5 L V6 engine, you'll get slightly less than 300 hp. Following a conventional combustion mechanism that's based on the Atkinson Cycle, this six-cylinder engine is also included in the Highlander's hybrid system. Permanent magnets dictate the electricity-generating capabilities of the vehicle's dual motors. Additional electricity is derived from a battery pack that's filled with nickel-metal hydride. The hybrid powertrain is connected to an electronically controlled CVT that offers limitless gear ratios. An eight-speed automatic transmission with the Direct Shift label is installed in the other Highlander models. The RAV4 rolls on a six-speed automatic transmission system or electronic CVT. Both Toyota vehicles could be fitted with an AWD that has the On Demand and Dynamic Torque Control technology.
Appearance
You don't have to be an artist to customize the 2018 Toyota RAV4 with a rich color. This compact crossover SUV is available in Electric Storm Blue, Galactic Aqua, Ruby Flare Pearl and other appealing finishes. The exterior options for the 2018 Highlander include Salsa Red Pearl, Toasted Walnut Pearl, Shoreline Blue Pearl and other finishes that are inspired by natural and urban themes. You can equip this mid-size crossover SUV with 19-inch wheels that have a touch of the Chromtec finish. The RAV4 is available with 18-inch wheels that are covered in the SuperChrome material. Both vehicles offer halogen headlights and LED bulbs in the front and rear lights. If you want to add extra style to the Highlander's exterior, select the roof rails that come with the Chromtec treatment. A touch of chrome garnish is also applied to the vehicle's rear bumper. This Toyota model has a flip-up rear hatch window and panoramic moon roof for extra illumination and fresh air. Additionally, the Highlander comes with black mudguards over the front and rear wheels.
Features
The 2018 Highlander comes with an automatic climate control system that distributes air in three distinct zones. Passengers in the second row have access to an independent control panel for the HVAC system. Heating is available for the car's front seats, second-row seats and steering wheel. If you're seeking optimum ergonomics, select a trim that includes a 12-way driver's seat with support for the lumbar spine and thighs. The spacious Highlander offers captain's chairs in the second row for extra legroom. Genuine leather trimming is available in both Toyota crossover SUVs. When comparing digital technology of these models, you'll notice many similarities in terms of applications and connectivity.
