Rated at 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, the 2.7 L four-cylinder engine is an economical powertrain option that's available in the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. For optimum performance, drivers can select the 3.5 L six-cylinder engine that offers a maximum output of 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Running on Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide technology, this V6 engine uses an Atkinson cycle to deliver smooth operation.
