Serving Florence, Fort Mitchell, and Burlington, KY

U.S. News and World Report named the 2016 Toyota Camry is its Best Midsized Sedan for the Money. The car outsold its rivals and all other cars to be the number one selling car in the United States, continuing a streak that's lasted more than a decade. As such, the 2017 Toyota Camry doesn't need to change much to remain at the top of its game.

Performance

On both the 2016 and 2017 editions, the base engine offers fuel efficiency while ensuring ample power. Top highway fuel economy is rated at 35 mpg. Offered on the two higher editions, a 3.5-liter V6 kicks out 268 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque. Even with all those horses at their command, V-6 Camry drivers still earn 30 mpg on the highway. Shoppers can choose comfort or sporty driving, depending on which edition they buy. The SE and XSE editions seek to please the family driver with a sport tuned suspension and steering wheel paddle shifters. A hybrid edition offers to save even more at the pump.

Styling & Features

A one-year offering, the 2016 Camry Special Edition dressed the exterior with smoked taillights and the interior with special blue accents. For 2017, the Camry is offered strictly in four trims: LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. Essentially you have a range of choices that start with a value-rich base edition and climb to a near-luxury choice. The LE packs everything a driver must have. The power driver's seat provides comfort while automatic headlights, heated mirrors and a rearview camera are valuable aids. The spacious trunk can expand quickly with the split-fold rear bench. The sporty SE dresses up the exterior with special trim. The seats are covered in a cloth and synthetic leather combination. The XSE covers the seats in a leather and synthetic suede duo. It also adds a power passenger seat and heated front seats. The spacious backseat gains rear venting. The XLE is a leather-clad premium ride.

For 2017, Toyota has added 10-speaker JBL surround sound to the XLE and XSE trims. This premium audio system was optional on the 2016 editions. Camry shoppers will appreciate that even the base edition comes with a 6.1-inch Entune touchscreen. This electronics interface is augmented by simple voice controls. You can access music via Bluetooth streaming audio, a CD player, and a USB/iPod interface. The Entune Audio Plus package adds more features and navigation. The higher editions are equipped with a Qi wireless smartphone charger.

Safety

The 2016 and 2017 Toyota Camrys have earned a five-star NHTSA federal crash rating. Both Camrys have eight airbags to better protect passengers. Crash avoidance is emphasized through such offerings as a blind spot monitor and a rear cross-traffic alert. The forward collision system can warn the driver about trouble and then start braking if the alert isn't heeded in time. The lane departure warning system helps stop drivers from swerving into another lane or running off the road. Safety Connect supplies an emergency assist button as well as an automatic crash notification feature.
