The cars are rivals of one another and compete with various features that are similar on each vehicle. If you're looking to find your next ride, there are a few features and components to compare.

Exterior Features

The exterior of the 2019 Toyota RAV4 has been redesigned and features more curves that allow the car to look like a luxury SUV. Although the interior of the cabin is more spacious, the car doesn't receive an increase in length. It's considered to be one of the most attractive and edgy vehicles in its class because it's more muscular and has a wider stance. The grille is sharper, and the hood protrudes, which makes it look intimidating on the road.

As the fifth generation, the 2019 Subaru Forester has a modern exterior that is conservative and has less edge compared to the RAV4. The car has a slightly larger body but looks similar to lower-priced vehicles due to its underwhelming design. The lack of design makes it less impressive than the RAV4. It has c-shaped lights on the rear and a small grille in the front.

Interior Features

The automaker includes plenty of tech tools and gadgets in the cabin for added comfort and convenience while on the go. Leather upholstery, called Softex, is available and creates a sleek and luxurious touch in the cabin. Up to five USB ports are available, including an 11-speaker sound system and Qi wireless charging.

The cabin inside of the Subaru Forester is designed to be roomier with more features offered. A moonroof is available, including wider-opening doors, squared-off cargo space, and a back row that can fold down. Although the design of the cabin is pleasant, it doesn't allow the model to evolve into a modern and sleek vehicle due to a lack of styling and premium materials used. Available features include a seven or an eight-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and USB ports.
